Reya Ghayaloud - “Jess”

Reya Ghayalod was born in Manhattan and is playing “Jess” in Custodia. She attended Alvin Ailey in New York and brings a bit of her performance experience with African dance and ballet into this role. While she found memorizing her lines to be challenging, she enjoyed her character’s sense of humor. Reya’s favorite memory at NDV was bonding with her friends in Yosemite.  While she found this year especially challenging, she counts the laughter and camaraderie she shared during her first theater performance as a bright spot. Reya’s passions are fencing, drawing and writing and says she may continue theatre next year at Convent of the Sacred Heart High School. Her theme song is "The Hall of Fame" by The Script, which she listens to before tournaments to gain motivation from the message of using dedication and determination to create your own luck.
